Privacy policy

CheerBunch is run by Sivakumar S, an individual based in Tamil Nadu, India. We are responsible for your information. Questions or requests: support@cheerbunch.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and the name you give, and a sign-in ID from Google if you use Google.
- Celebrations and cards: titles, messages, photos, videos, voice notes, PDFs and private gift notes you add, and who joined which celebration.
- Payments: which celebration was paid for, the amount and a payment reference. Card details go straight to the payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Technical: a sign-in cookie, and basic server logs (time, page requested, IP address) kept for security. We also look up which country your IP address is in to show prices in your currency; that lookup happens on our server, and we keep only which price region (India, UK or elsewhere) a new celebration was started from, never the address. IP geolocation by DB-IP.
- Counts: to see how CheerBunch is doing, we count page visits and opened invitation links per day, and keep the optional answer to “How did you hear about CheerBunch?”. These are totals with no cookies and no IP addresses.
- Where organizers come from: when you start a celebration we note the country your connection comes from (India, UK, US or elsewhere) and the link that brought you, such as an ad’s tag or the name of the site you came from. Your browser keeps that link note for the open tab only and forgets it when you close the tab. We use it only to count which channels bring people, never to follow you around the web.
- Visit statistics: our public pages (home, pricing, help and the legal pages) use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which pages are read, and which site or search brought visitors here. It sets no cookies, doesn’t track you across sites, and we only see totals, never who you are.
How we use it
Only to run CheerBunch: to sign you in, show each celebration to the right people, process files so they play, take payments, send the emails described below, keep the service secure, and answer you. We don’t sell your information, show ads, or use your cards to train AI.
Our legal basis is providing the service you asked for (contract), and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure.
Emails
We send service emails: new cards to review, your card was sent or revealed, cards ready for the recipient, and reminders before dates. They never include names, messages or photos.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run CheerBunch for us: Descope (sign-in), Google (if you sign in with Google), Cloudflare (file storage, network and visit statistics), DigitalOcean (servers), Resend (email), Paddle (payments outside India, as Merchant of Record) and Razorpay (payments in India). Some are in the US or other countries; they protect your information under contracts with standard safeguards. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Cards and files are deleted when a celebration’s window ends (see the pricing page for the dates). Copies in our backups are replaced as newer backups are made. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
You can download a copy of your information or delete your account yourself: sign in and choose Your data in the account menu. Deleting your account removes the celebrations you organize (for everyone), the cards you wrote and their photos and videos straight away; copies in backups are replaced as newer backups are made. You can also ask to see, correct, download or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email us from the address you sign in with and we’ll respond within 30 days. In the UK you can complain to the ICO; in India, to the Data Protection Board.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
CheerBunch is for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
We’ll update the date above when this policy changes, and tell you about important changes.
